Stephen McKenzie is the Master Printer, Lead Teaching Artist and Studio Manager at Newark Print Shop. He has been a printmaking artist since his undergraduate years at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He received his MFA from Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts. Professionally, he was employed for 21 years at the Newark Museum, working in their Education Department, and his involvement with the Newark Print shop dates back approximately 5 years. He enjoys initiating large scale printmaking projects; specifically making the world’s largest monoprint which was certified by Guinness World Records. His personal work for the last 10 years has focused on gun violence in America.
