Paul Robeson Galleries

Established in 1979, the Paul Robeson Galleries’ (PRG) mission and programming embody Paul Robeson’s life-long commitment to unfettered artistic freedom, cultural democracy, and transnationalism. This mission is carried out in the presentation of visual arts exhibitions, gallery education and other public programs, and in partnerships with community organizations, in a spaces across the campus of Rutgers University – Newark and Express Newark. PRG accepts unsolicited exhibition and program proposals from artists and curators on an ongoing basis.

Criminal Justice Gallery, Rutgers School of Law – Newark

The Paul Robeson Galleries curates small-scale exhibitions of two-dimensional and/or low-relief works in the Criminal Justice Gallery located in the Rutgers School of Law – Newark, 123 Washington Street 5th floor, Newark, NJ. This exhibition space is dedicated to the work of artists from New Jersey. Please see below for details below about how to submit a proposal. The Window Gallery, Express Newark – Hahne’s Building

The Paul Robeson Galleries curates small-scale exhibitions of two-dimensional and/or low-relief works on the third floor of the Hahne’s Building. The Window Gallery occupies the hallway spaces leading to the Express Newark Main Gallery and Shine Portrait Studio. This is an ongoing open-call, please send proposals at any time.

The Box Gallery, Express Newark – Hahne’s Building

The Paul Robeson Galleries curates small-scale exhibitions. The Box Gallery is located across from the Window Gallery. This is an ongoing open-call, please send proposals at any time.
