Express Newark Partner, The Design Consortium, won a Graphis Silver Award for the creation of the Express Newark brand identity which includes the EN logomark system, typography, print collateral, signage and wayfinding.

Graphis, Inc. is an international publisher of books on communication design. Based in New York City, Graphis presents and promotes the best submitted work in Design, Advertising, Photography and Art/Illustration.

Graphis annually invites professionals across the design communities to be considered for inclusion in their books. Amongst these submissions, Graphis selects the most compelling work of the year for Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards considerations, which are featured in their online gallery and hardcover Annuals.

The Design Consortium (DC) is a student/faculty creative studio rooted in a collaboratively engaged design process. Lead by Graphic Design Faculty (Professors Jennifer Bernstein, Chantal Fischzang & Ned Drew, advanced students from Rutgers Arts, Culture, Media Department’s Graphic Design program are selected to participate in partnerships with Newark community residents, organizations, educational institutions and/or local activists partners, to achieve a common goal through design.
