Express Newark is pleased to celebrate its refreshed brand identity, highlighting Newark as a vanguard of art and activism. The new visual identity foregrounds a black-and-white palette that nods to our city’s past, while the bold type emphasizes our drive toward artistic experimentation and collaboration. The new brand system reflects our name: Express—a gathering place for ideas, innovation, and creativity; Newark—a vibrant cosmos of cultural work, community accountability, and civic pride. This rebrand acknowledges Rutgers University – Newark’s ongoing commitment to the campus, community, and the city’s dynamic arts ecosystem. The updated look will be rolled out throughout the fall via new signage, digital and print collateral, a social campaign, and a new website.
